2CCs: Our Story
Who are we?
In short, we are gamers. Just like you. This journey begins with a couple of guys that want to set their mark on an industry that is very set in their ways. We chose to be indie game developers because we want gamers to control the product, not benefactors, or overhanging entities. This is why we started 2CCs. We want to bring quality content, unique design, and entertaining gameplay to keep you (the players) occupied and happy for as long as possible.
The Beginning
The first game we ever released is called Dot Odyssey. Dot Odyssey is an arcade-style maze game. Step into the Dot Universe and collect as many Dot Coins as possible to make it out of this maze of a universe. The objective is to collect coins that appear on random points of the screen and avoid getting hit by objects that can harm you. You can also do the challenge mazes and collect more Dot Coins. Dot Coins are the currency in this Dot Universe. With Dot Coins, you can unlock some amazing skins and see how high your score can be.
This is a game that is near and dear to our hearts. Not only is it the first one we ever released, but arcade-style games like this are what we love to spend hours playing. From the first alpha/beta builds, we swore that if the game we are developing doesn't sit right with us, we won't release it to the players until we can get it just right. Dot Odyssey has the right mixture of entertainment and difficulty we wanted to see in an arcade game from the very beginning. We don't tell people this, but the release of Dot Odyssey was pushed back multiple times because there were parts of the graphics and the user experience that we're just not good at. Even the smallest bit of graphic had to be redone correctly to make sure we were 100% happy with the product.
Can you Keep Up?
Our second featured game is Quick Time. Just like the name says, Quick Time involves a slew of quick-time actions testing your reflexes. This game is for those long commutes for you to keep your mind and body busy. The goals are to swipe in given directions, tap in order, nail the slider, tap the green dot, make everything in the grid green, among others. This game was meant to be as simple as can be from the ground up. We love how addictive beating these actions in the game can get. From the first alpha/beta build to now, we always get pulled into playing our own game for hours on end. It is an amazing way to kill some time.
Why Do We Want to Make Games?
We grew up using video games as an escape from reality. Throwback to the flash games on Miniclip and y8 that got us through most of our childhood. We want to bring simple and fun games such as those from our childhood to the next generation and next level. Seeing someone enjoy a product that we created is all we could ever ask for. Even if it's just one person, the enjoyment that person feels is priceless. That's why we want to make games. We value your enjoyment above everything.
